The Confessional: First Date is a relationship-building card game featuring 75 carefully curated questions about relationships, intimacy, and self-discovery.
The First Date deck is designed for new connections, to reveal romantic compatibility, explore your chemistry, and discover whether your interests, values, and expectations align. This game encourages open, honest communication and helps players develop a deeper understanding of one another.

- Minimum 2 players

Suggested Instructions
- Partners may sit comfortably back to back.
- Take turns each pulling a card and reading the question on the card for your partner to answer. Both players should answer each question.
- If you’d like to skip a question, simply say, “Skip,” and put that card to the side. Each person only gets 1 skip per 10 questions. If you’d like to skip a 2nd question, you must go back and answer a previously skipped question in its place.
- If playing in a group, all players take turns asking questions. Players can pose their questions to the group as a whole, or choose another player in particular to answer.
Pro Tip
All questions call for openness and invite discussion, but no questions are divisive by nature. If you find yourself triggered by a question, we challenge you to consider why. Whether you do it introspectively, or use your partner to talk through it objectively with, we hope you take it as an opportunity to go deeper.
